130+ (Counter-) Terrorism Research Centres – an Inventory

To a significant extent, the list below is building on previous efforts to make an inventory of security and terrorism research centres. First of all, a similar list appeared in Perspectives on Terrorism in 2010 (vol. 5, no. 4). Many of the research centres on that list are still active; therefore, they have been included in the list presented below. The organisations identified here have been divided into six categories: (i) universities, (ii) think tanks, (iii) government organisations, (iv) networks, (v) commercial organisations and (vi) other organisations.
